2012 Council Philmont Contingent
During the summer of 2012, the Monterey Bay Area Council will sponsor a Council Contingent to Philmont Scout Ranch, the best known and most popular high adventure base of the Boy Scouts of America.
2012 Philmont participants must be 14 years of age OR completed 8th Grade and be at least 13 years of age prior to participate.
All participants, both youth and adults must meet the Height and Weight Requirements. A copy of this information is attached. Participants who do not meet the requirements are sent home.
The 2012 Council Contingent will be open to all those Scouts whose Troops/Teams/Crews are in the Council and do not have another opportunity to participate in their own Troop/Team/Crew expedition. Priority will be given to applicants who have never been to Philmont before.
Applications will be taken on a first come first served basis for selection to the Council contingent. Priority will be given to qualified Scouts who have not had the opportunity to participate in a Philmont Expedition.
